Study "Music Education" at the MHL: Apply now and study tomorrow
The degree programmes in "Music Education" offer a varied, theory and practice interlocking and individually designable education with many options for young music enthusiasts who see their future professional field in musical work with people. Whether school, music (high) school or other contexts of music education: the study programme "Music Education" qualifies students for the profession of music teacher at secondary schools on the one hand and for further degrees such as instrumental and vocal pedagogy and elementary music education on the other. In addition to the classic second subject option in conjunction with the University of 中国足球彩票 or the University of Hamburg, it also offers the possibility of profiling (popular music, elementary music pedagogy, instrumental and vocal pedagogy, performing arts and much more) as part of a double-subject degree.

There are three Master of Education programmes at the MHL. All of them qualify for the preparatory service for teachers at grammar schools and secondary schools or primary schools in the subject of music.

• Master of Education
  The first is the four-semester consecutive degree programme. The target group is graduates of the Bachelor of Arts at the MHL or from another university, provided the degree is comparable. Information can be found here.
  
  
• Master of Education (lateral entry grammar school)
  Since October 2021, there is another Master of Education degree, which is aimed at applicants who, after an artistic-pedagogical degree (for example, Bachelor of Music Church Music), wish to study to become a teacher in the double subject of music. • Master of Education (lateral entry primary school)
  In the winter semester 2024/25, a new transfer master's degree programme for the double subject of music at primary school will open. It is aimed at applicants who are seeking a teaching qualification for primary schools after completing an artistic or artistic-pedagogical Bachelor's degree. Courses from the fields of music education and didactics, educational science, a specialised practical course geared towards school practice as well as the Master's internship and insights into German and mathematics didactics prepare graduates for the preparatory service and their later varied professional activities as primary school teachers.

Studieninteressierte, die mehr über die Inhalte und Voraussetzungen zu den innovativen Musik-Vermitteln-Studieng?ngen Bachelor of Arts und Master of Education (auch als Querstieg m?glich) erfahren m?chten, sind herzlich zur digitalen Informationsveranstaltung am Mittwoch, 16. Oktober 2024 via Zoom eingeladen.

Musikp?dagogin Prof. Dr. Annette Ziegenmeyer stellt zusammen mit Studierenden und Kolleginnen und Kollegen die Vorzüge des vielf?ltigen und individuell gestaltbaren Studiums vor, das optimal auf die musikalische Arbeit mit anderen Menschen vorbereitet – ob an der Schule, an der Musik(hoch)schule oder in anderen Kontexten der Musikvermittlung.

Wer Fragen zu Anforderungen der Eignungsprüfung, zu den Studienangeboten und Profilbildungen, zu den Studienabl?ufen, Abschlüssen und Berufsperspektiven hat, bekommt hier Antworten – oder nutzt die Gelegenheit, eigene Fragen zu stellen.

• 18 bis 19 Uhr Infoveranstaltung zum Bachelor of Arts
• 19.30 bis 20.30 Uhr Infoveranstaltung zum Master of Education (auch Umstiegsmaster).
