Instrumental and Elementary Music Pedagogy
The degree programme is designed for candidate students who, in addition to pursuing a career as a practising musician, wish to use their instrument in professional education and work with different target groups in an elementary field. Along with the instrumental and theoretical requirements, students should also show the potential to be able to work with groups. The respective study requirement is to be demonstrated at an audition.

The objective of training is to develop personalities able to develop a sustainable educational impact in terms of music through their powerful artistic expressiveness.

Graduates are able to take an active part in the world of professional music, possessing fundamental knowledge of musicology and music theory to enable reflection of their own practical music performance. As Bachelor graduates, students also acquire a dual qualification to begin a career as an instrumental educationalist and specialist for elementary music pedagogy.

Individual artistic training similarly forms the focus of this degree programme. The goal of MHL is to ensure that all instrumental-pedagogical graduates are availed of an advanced artistic qualification.

Graduates have the option to pursue artistic Master degree programmes or consecutive musical pedagogy avenues in the fields of EMP, IGP and rhythm/music and movement.
