Sound Arts & Creative Music Technology
Building on the skills and knowledge acquired in Bachelor's studies, the Master's in Sound Arts & Creative Music Technology is aimed at students with advanced skills who want to deepen their skills and (further) develop their artistic point of view. Students learn and deepen a wide range of knowledge and skills in machine learning and AI, digital and analog sound synthesis, live electronics, intermedia and audiovisual art, sound installation, and more. The professional careers and developments resulting from the course are diverse, and its varied content enhances their breadth.
At the end of their studies, students should be able to present and represent their artistic work responsibly in society. This ability to engage in social commitment and discourse is essential alongside pure artistic work. This also includes engaging with the works of others and the historical perspectives in the field of Sound Arts & Creative Music Technology, as well as in related discourses in the humanities and natural sciences.
The primary content of the degree program is artistic work in the field of Sound Arts & Creative Music Technology, which is comprehensively supervised in individual and group lessons. Students have many opportunities to develop works in different media configurations and contexts, using various techniques and concepts.
In the seminars, students present their work and explain their aesthetic positioning. These discussions, which occur within the class, with students from other classes, and with external guests, contribute significantly to developing the students' personalities.
